Before we came down to Arizona, we lived a good part of our lives in Washington. A state overflowing with lush trees & littered with lakes (not to mention right on the Pacific Coast)… the opposite of Arizona. I think out of sheer desperation to see some sort of body of water, we headed down to Sonoita to visit what they call Patagonia Lake. Compared to say… Lake Washington, which is 21,600 surface acres, at 250 surface acres, Patagonia Lake is on the small scale. But for southern Arizona, it seems to be the lake spot to visit.
The road to Patagonia is very scenic. Rolling hills after rolling hills.
