Ouch. We have sore sore limbs & a bad sunburn. Well, husband has the bad sunburn… I just get more brown!
We hiked up Mount Rainier despite all the snow & fog. We also wanted to check out Mount Rainier Inn since renovations have finally concluded! I’ve never been there but husband’s godmother used to work there in the summers when she was in her girlhood. We decided to have a look at the renovations as well as see how far up we could hike Mount Rainier!
I imagine if we had proper climbing clothes, gear and more time, we would’ve attempted getting higher, but Anvil Rock was an excellent stopping point. Much, much higher than either of us expected.
The guy was waving & saying “Hey look! They’re taking our picture!” and she said “I can’t take you anywhere!”
Resting at our stopping point.
We then proceeded to uh…. pose for pictures…
When we’re 70, we’re going to look back & laugh. Well, husband will laugh & I will be at total loss as to who those people in the pictures are because I have the worst memory every & I imagine by 70 I’ll be long past senile.
And this is about how far we hiked!
