Land’s End is mainland Britain’s most south-westerly point. It’s not too far from St. Michael’s Mount, about a half hour drive. It’s surprisingly stuffed with tourists & tour buses but still a neat visit when you get past the shops and off the beaten path.
St. Michael’s Mount
Just off of Mount’s Bay in Cornwall lies a tidal island crowned with a medieval church and castle dating from the 12th century.
Cornwall: Golitha Falls, Newquay & the Haunted Jamaica Inn
In the bleak Bodmin Moor near Bolventor, Cornwall lies the Jamaica Inn, a public house that was once upon a time a notorious stopping point for smugglers. Frequented by unsavory characters of the 18th century, it is now allegedly one of the most haunted places in Great Britain.
So of course we had to stop there!

White Cliffs of Dover
Despite the rain, fog and mud I was determined to drag husband to see the White Cliffs of Dover. They were more like the Grey Cliffs of Dover… but we saw them anyway!
