It’s been some time since we’ve been able to get out & have some fun due to time constraints, the flu & injuries but today we managed to make it out to the 150th Anniversary of the Engagement of Picacho Pass.

Today called for our 1st hike up Picacho Peak for the year, making it our 5th time to the summit. I’m sure this won’t be our last trip over there… especially since there’s a Civil War re-enactment coming up! HECK YEAH!
…Especially, when you’ve hiked it 4 times!

We debated on traveling to Phoenix for a similar hike but because we were dining at my boss’s home later that evening, we decided to stay near by. The great thing about Picacho is that while it’s a short hike, it’s still intense because most of the way is a steep elevation gain/loss. It makes for an awesome workout. Luckily we are in great shape.
